Gaurav K Jha also credited as Gaurav Jha is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Hindi cinema and serials and also done Bhojpuri and Rajasthani language films and serials. He debut in 2005 as hero in a Rajasthani film Jai maa Joganiya, after that bags opportunity to work with director Kavita Chaudhary in Telefilm Bijuka, for DD1 classics in 2005 and participated in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge , Season 2 in 2006 and much appreciated.After that bagged a Tigmanshu dhulia directed Hindi film Bullet Raja (2013). Khoon ke ilzam a Bhojpuri film as main villain 2015. Ayushman Bhava (serial, 2017) Nimki Mukhiya (Serial,2018) Dviya Shakti (Serial, 2018), Who Pehali Baar as main villain (2021), Shyam Tulsi (Serial 2021)

Since long working wit h a non-profit organization “SaY Yes Trust”. Through this organization he spread the awareness of Indian traditional, indigenous and folk performing arts, Classical vocal (Hindustani) and folk songs of India.

Gaurav K Jha born in a Maithil Brahmin middle class family, Village- Andhara Tharhi in Dist. - Mahbubani in the Indian state of Bihar, to Satish Chandra Jha and Rani Jha as middle of their three children. His father is a banker and mother is house wife. Done his schooling from Catholic High school, Ara Since the childhood he is very inclined to Indian classical music and filmy music, singing, playing rhythm etc. Producing peculiar sound from mouth like shehnai, guitar, morchang, tanpura, beat boxing, etc. In school time he is a very sporty type of person who plays badminton and hockey at dist. level and football, cricket, basketball and table tennis at enter school level. After his schooling he moves to Delhi university for graduation at the age of seventeen and enrolled in Zakir Hussain College. Along with graduation he is indulge with music and theatre activities. There’s no any clue in life to be an actor but theatre groomed him like a true artist.

As per “Hema Singh” my first guru in theatre Natyshahshtra says that a 6 fit man who has knowledge of Sangeet (Gayan, Vadan and Nritya) and martial art has possibility to be an actor. After one theatre production with Hema Singh in Bhawai Style (Jasma Odan).

He joined Padmshree Guru Shashdhar Acharya and Guru Bhumikeshwar Singh , Chhau exponent , Saraikela Style , tribal martial art dance form in 1998. Worked with Pratibha Sanskritik Sansthan under Guru Bhumikeshwar Singh as chhau dancer and actor of Sanskrit Natak of Maha Kavi Bhasha (Dutvakyam, Karnbharam, dutghatotkachch etc.), Bhatt Narayana (Venisamhar) and Girish Karnard’s Naag Mandal in chhau style and done chhau dance ballet. As chhau dancer he toured all over india and done various performances. As Chhau dancer he performed with Padmshree Sonal Mansingh in Chhau Odissi fussion Ballet “Lalleshwari”, Padmshree Rita Ganguly A NSD theatre production, Padmshree Shobhana Narayan and guru Bhumikeshwar Singh, Hindi kavita ka itihas in the regime of Atal Bihari Bajpai , in Prime Minister’s house . Later on worked as assistant choreographer and rhythm artist with Guru Bhumikeshwar Singh. 1998 to 2002.

Learnt Classical Vocal Hindustani from Gandharv Mahavidyalay, 2 yrs. diploma from Guru Mohan Mahtoliya, 1998- 2000.

Learnt Thangta ,Manipuri Traditional Martial Art & Taichi, a Chinese Martial Art by Mr. S. Biswajit Singh (Sangeet Kala Sangam) at Delhi. 2000 to 2004.

Learnt Parikhanda Martial Art from Guru Bhumikeshwar Singh 1998 to 2002.

Learnt Mime from Padmshree Niranjan Goswami & Fredrik Harera (france) Alliance Francaise de Delhi workshop and grown up as renowned mime artist and performed in 1st, 2nd & 3rd National Mime Festival.

Performed in theatre various theatre exponent like : Robin das, Probir Guha, K s Rajendran, Adil Hussain, Subba Rao,Hema Singh, Y sadanand singh, Satyavrat Raut, Chetan Datar, Makrand Despande, Teddy Morya, Rehan Engineer etc.

He had heard about the National School of Drama attempted 3 times consequently and in 3rd attempt and they offered him in teaching position in NSD extension workshops(NTPC, Singrauli NSD exten) and student production (Marat & sad) as Mime and movement faculty. After that he moved to Prithvi theatre Mumbai in 2004 and joined Makrand Despandey, Ansh theatre group.
